Badge Installation

Add the CheckShop.eu trust badge to your website in under 2 minutes.

Any Website (Universal)

For SEO and crawler visibility, add a normal fallback link to your public CheckShop profile directly after the script:

    Verified by CheckShop.eu
  </a>
</noscript>

Options:

  • data-shop — Your shop domain or Shop ID (required)

  1. 1Go to WordPress Admin > Plugins > Add New Plugin and search for CheckShop
  2. 2Click Install Now, then Activate
  3. 3Go to WooCommerce > Settings > CheckShop
  4. 4Enter your API key (found in your CheckShop dashboard under Badge)
  5. 5Click Verify Connection — your Shop ID will be auto-filled
  6. 6Configure badge position and review invitation settings
Included features: Floating badge, checkout badge, automatic review invitations after order completion (10 a month on Free, 25 on Starter, unlimited from Pro), Gutenberg block, shortcode [checkshop_badge], classic widget.

Shopify

With the CheckShop Shopify app, or a short code in your theme

  1. 1With the CheckShop Shopify app installed, open it from your Shopify admin (about the app)
  2. 2Click Turn on the badge. The theme editor opens with the CheckShop trust badge app embed; switch it on and save. No Shop ID or code needed
  3. 3Pick a style, size and theme in the embed settings. On the Free plan your shop shows the default card; the other styles need Starter or higher
  4. 4Optional: add the CheckShop reviews block to any section to show your latest reviews

Without the app: copy the code from the badge page in your dashboard, then in Shopify go to Online Store > Themes > Edit code, open theme.liquid and paste it just above </body>.

Automatic: Order webhooks are set up automatically — review invitations are sent from paid or fulfilled orders without any extra configuration, within your plan's monthly allowance (10 on Free, 25 on Starter, unlimited from Pro).

Other shop systems

Lightspeed, PrestaShop, Magento, CCV Shop and Mijnwebwinkel

  • Lightspeed eCom (C-Series)

    Trust mark: Paste the universal code in Settings > Web extras > Custom JavaScript.

    Review invitations: Connect an API key in the dashboard; invitations follow shipped or paid orders.

  • PrestaShop 1.7.8 to 9

    Trust mark: Free CheckShop module: floating mark and a mark above the payment options.

    Review invitations: The module sends invitations when an order reaches the status you choose (default Shipped).

  • Magento 2 / Adobe Commerce

    Trust mark: Free CheckShop module, set up under Stores > Configuration > CheckShop.

    Review invitations: Invitations when a shipment is created or the order is complete.

  • CCV Shop

    Trust mark: Paste the universal code in Settings > Layout > Header HTML (desktop and mobile).

    Review invitations: A short order code in the after-order text, with CCV's order number and e-mail placeholders.

  • Mijnwebwinkel

    Trust mark: Through Google Tag Manager (PRO and PREMIUM plans), as a Custom HTML tag on all pages.

    Review invitations: A second tag on the thank-you page, when the order number and e-mail address are in the dataLayer.

Inline Badge (Shortcode)

Place the badge anywhere in your content

Instead of a floating badge, you can embed the badge inline using a shortcode or HTML:

Keep a regular profile link inside the badge target. The loader replaces it with the live badge for visitors, while crawlers can still see the backlink.

WordPress Shortcode:

[checkshop_badge style="full"]

Styles: full (default), mini, score

Crawler-friendly HTML target:

<div data-checkshop-badge>
  <a href="https://checkshop.eu/shop/YOUR_DOMAIN" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">
    Verified by CheckShop.eu
  </a>
</div>

Troubleshooting

Badge doesn't appear

Check that your shop domain or Shop ID is correct and that the script tag is on the page. Every plan, Free included, shows the basic badge; paid plans add the other styles and sizes.

Badge shows wrong score

Badge data is cached for 5 minutes. Wait a few minutes after a score update for the badge to refresh.

Badge shows on wrong domain

The badge only works on your verified domain. If you changed domains, update it in your dashboard settings.

WooCommerce plugin can't connect

Check that your API key is correct (it works on every plan, Free included) and that your shop is active on CheckShop. Also verify your server can make outbound HTTPS requests.
